I thought the easiest way to get back into blogging on a regular basis was to show you new products we’ve added to our shop, share tutorials and ideas for traditional and unique party themes and offer a bunch of free downloads to help you celebrate. How does that sound to you? Sounds like fun to me! I’ve really missed y’all!
The end of the school year signifies the retirement of many amazing teachers as well as bus drivers, lunch ladies, and school administrators. If you’ve followed our blog since the beginning, you know I’m from a family of teachers and I used to teach music and theater full-time. Teachers definitely have a special place in my heart.
A few years ago, we celebrated my sister’s retirement from teaching which you can read about it here and here. Since the main focus of our menu was Michigan-themed desserts inspired by my sister’s love of teaching Michigan history, we created this banner to hang over the sweets table.
After many requests, we recently added the chalkboard-inspired banner to the shop. The Sweet Ending Retirement Banner is a digital file you print and assemble at home. Don’t have a great printer? You can download the file to a flash drive and take it to your local print shop (e.g., Staples, Office Depot, FedEx Office, etc.) for printing. Once it’s printed, grab a pair of sharp scissors and cut out the panels. You can either punch holes in the top corners and string on ribbon, cord, or twine, or grab a few clothespins and just clip the panels to your string. You can purchase the banner here.
Another fun theme for retirement party decorations for any career is our Happy Trails Collection.
Besides retirement parties, the Happy Trails Collection is perfect for farewell parties, too! When we moved away from Chicago, we used it here at our farewell party. The Happy Trails Collection are digital files you print and assemble at home and I shared a few fun ways I used the items in our farewell party post. You can purchase the entire collection here or just the banner here.
