Today’s colorful theme…FIESTA!…was inspired by this delish recipe linked up by Donna of The Epicurean Crafter.
Spicy foods were not a part of my childhood. Ketchup, Thousand Island and a pinch of chili powder were as spicy as we got! While I still can’t handle very spicy foods, I do love a great taco and these sound wonderful! Click here to grab Donna’s recipe.
A Taco Bar is a great way to serve a large crowd at a party and also makes a fun middle of the week dinner! One of my all-time favorite taco bars was by Brittany of GreyGrey Designs.
Brittany created this taco bar for her son’s birthday party. The brilliant part is that she served the shells on a taco shell garland!
I also adore the pinata-inspired backdrop. Click here for all of the amazing details.
During a recent visit from my family, we had fun creating this Nachos Bar for dinner one night.
Everyone chose their own favorite toppings then popped them under the broiler for a few minutes. It was the easiest meal we made during their visit! For dessert, I whipped up my Faux Churros.

Brittany of GreyGrey Designs added lots of color to her dessert buffet with a pinata, basket, jelly beans, maracas and bright fabric.
She also decorated her white cupcake stand with sombreros and added a Mexican blanket to her taco bar. The cupcake stand…genius! Pure genius!
For our Fiesta, we added ruffled streamer remnants from other parties to $1 paper lanterns and tied on ribbon scraps. We then hung them over the Nachos Bar and dining table to create a festive atmosphere!
Don’t forget to add pops of color to your dining table. Use blankets, placemats, napkins, plates and more to create a playful and fun placesetting!
I hope you’re inspired to make your next taco night a lil’ extra special!
