Did you know that we’re celebrating this lil’ piggy’s…

Did you know that TODAY is my 45th BIRTHDAY? Yep. I’m really that old. I’m proud to be 45 and honored to spend this one with you! About this time every year, I’m in the midst of producing my own birthday soirée. Ever since my 30th birthday, I’ve always planned my own celebrations. It’s not that I don’t think anyone else can do it…I just LoVe giving surprises on my BiG day! My favorite part of every birthday party is sitting down and just watching others. There’s no greater joy than seeing all of those smiling faces. It’s the greatest gift I could ever receive…JoY!

Since I’m in the midst of producing my sister’s 50th birthday party next week, I decided against throwing a birthday party here at the house this year. Instead, I planned a few surprises for YOU this week! Make sure you visit here to find out about a great giveaway from GigMasters and here to enter to win one of FIVE prizes from this lil’ piggy.

I’m so excited to share my next surprise with you! If you’ve been around the blogophere then you’ve probably read about Courtney Dial Whitmore’s new book, “Candy Making for Kids.” Courtney asked if she could stop by Oink! during her online book tour and I said, “Of course!”

Courtney’s new book, “Candy Making for Kids” was released on August 1st and is filled with easy and accessible recipes for kids of all ages. It is currently available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

The recipes all look delicious and I can’t wait to get in the kitchen and taste test them! {giggle} Courtney is sharing one of her favorite recipes, “Sprinkle Party Fudge,” on Ruff Draft today so pop over for a lil’ yumminess!

A book tour wouldn’t be complete without receiving the author’s signature so Courtney will send a personalized red and white polka dot bookplate to you! To receive your very own personalized greeting, email courtney@pizzazzerie.com with “BOOK SIGNATURE” in the subject line and include your proof of purchase (e.g.: a screenshot of the Amazon order, picture of the receipt, etc.).
